More than 750,000 lights, desert ice skating, illuminated boat parades and family festivities bring holiday magic to Arizona's waterfront destination.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- London Bridge Resort Brings the Holidays to the Waterfront with a Season of Christmas Events in Lake Havasu City.
Christmas in the desert takes on a distinctly waterfront feel this holiday season as London Bridge Resort prepares to welcome visitors for a lineup of holiday events along the shores of Lake Havasu and beneath the world-famous London Bridge.
At the center of the season is the Festival of Lights, beginning November 27th and continuing nightly through January 10, 2027 from 6 to 9 p.m. More than 750,000 lights will illuminate the resort's village, with an animated light display synchronized to holiday music every 30 minutes. Visitors can walk beneath the lights and experience the holiday atmosphere surrounding one of Arizona's most recognizable landmarks.
The holiday season officially kicks off November 27th with the grand opening of London Bridge Resort's 12 Days of Christmas, a collection of family-friendly holiday experiences taking place Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. through December 23rd. Visitors can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, ice skate in the middle of the Arizona desert, roast s'mores by the fire and take part in seasonal activities throughout the resort.
Opening night will also feature the Festival of Lights Swim Race, a nighttime swimming event held beneath the holiday lights. The race will culminate with the winner receiving a cash prize and the opportunity to officially flip the switch and illuminate the Festival of Lights for the season.
"It's so special to watch Christmas memories being made right in front of you," said Kristina Gallo, Assistant General Manager of London Bridge Resort. "Seeing the kids wait to sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus with so much hope and innocence, families spending quality time together, taking photos and kids dancing in the snow—it's really magical. Where else can you ice skate in the middle of the Arizona desert and then celebrate Christmas along the waterfront? These are the moments families will remember long after the holidays are over."

A Holiday Getaway in the Arizona Desert
For travelers looking to turn the festivities into an overnight holiday experience, London Bridge Resort will offer its Merry Moments Package during the holiday season. The package includes one hour of ice skating for a family of four and a $100 food and beverage credit that can be used throughout the resort, including for seasonal offerings such as s'mores kits and drinks from the Naughty and Nice Bar.
Guests can pair their stay with the resort's holiday experiences, including the Festival of Lights, synchronized light shows, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, ice skating, fireside s'mores and 12 Days of Christmas activities. The package provides families with an opportunity to experience an unexpected side of the holidays in Arizona—ice skating in the desert, gathering around the fire and celebrating Christmas along the waterfront beneath the London Bridge. Holiday Traditions Take to the Water
Holiday festivities continue December 11th with Dock Glow, presented in partnership with the Lake Havasu Boat Parade, from 6 to 9 p.m. Ahead of the annual parade, participating boats will gather along the London Bridge Resort docks decorated and illuminated for the holidays, giving visitors an opportunity to walk the waterfront and view the boats up close. Guests attending Dock Glow can also experience the resort's 12 Days of Christmas activities taking place throughout the village that evening.

The following evening, December 12th, the Lake Havasu Boat Parade will bring illuminated boats to the Bridgewater Channel for one of the community's signature holiday traditions. Beginning at 6 p.m., decorated boats will make their way along the channel and beneath the world-famous London Bridge. Jack FM will broadcast live during the event, sharing information about participating boats as they travel through the channel. More information on the Dock Glow and Annual Boat Parade can be found at https://www.lakehavasuparadeoflights.com/.

Throughout the season, visitors will also find holiday décor across the property, the Gold State Coach displayed in the resort lobby and additional seasonal experiences surrounding the London Bridge. Rather than a traditional snow-covered Christmas destination, Lake Havasu City's holiday season pairs familiar traditions with the community's waterfront setting and mild desert climate, offering travelers a distinctly Arizona way to celebrate the season.

The Festival of Lights begins November 27th and continues nightly from 6 to 9 p.m. through January 10, 2027. London Bridge Resort's 12 Days of Christmas begins November 27th and takes place Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. through December 23rd. Lake Havasu Boat Parade Dock Glow takes place on December 11th, and the Annual Boat Parade takes place on December 12th both beginning at 6pm.
